“You’re going to be an electrician” John’s father said.  Despite little understanding of the electrical trade, John never feared the unknown as he always believed that there is a solution out of any problem.  As a result the Jogen journey was born in Australia from the humble beginnings of an Italian heritage led by John and Geannette Luzi.

John was inspired by his apprenticeship at Transfield.  He was exposed to how a family owned and operated company happily welcomed family members into the business to supports its growth.

“My time at Transfield at a young age was a blessing.  I was taught by experienced electricians how to fault find electrical issues on large machines.  A skill I still use today in running the organisation and by encouraging our employees to do the same”.

In 1984 John furthered his career to work within a large organisation with the managers at General Electric where he operated machinery specialising in computer integration.

With the support of his wife who was pregnant with their first of three children, John took the leap of faith to work for himself.  With the purchase of a second hand Mitsubishi van Jogen started its first step to advertise in the local paper and service electrical jobs for family and friends.

John believes his longstanding success of over 25 years within the industry is the reward of proving to himself and to others that by going that extra little bit to show customers that he was not just an electrician.

“I was John Luzi and I cared about their job, big or small, profit or not for profit, I wanted to finish what I started.  This was important to me, as the brand of Jogen that my family name was attached to was something that money cannot buy and I was proud of what I had embarked upon”.

With Jogen’s first big break of a $40k job back in 1989 John commenced working on larger electrical jobs, as customers recognised that he was able to complete and deliver, leaving client’s happy with his product.  John sincerely thanks Mr Nicola Cerrone for the opportunity back then that encouraged Jogen to service larger projects by believing in himself.  A personal and professional relationship that continues to exist today.

“We have grown a lot since then, when someone gives you an opportunity to believe in yourself and you succeed, it gives you the courage that money cannot buy. If you know you have the ability why should you hold back”.

Jogen has since discovered that the team will never step down from a job.  It will maintain its confidence and commitment to its clients as an end to end practical electrical solutions organisation, where every project can be solved and serviced in a safe and timely manner. The organisation is proud of the vast collection of clientele it has developed ranging from the small domestic, large residential, commercial and large factory development.  The organisation services existing and new customers, providing emergency response systems to minimise down time for its customer. A service that is built upon the foundations of Networking With Excellence®. John thanks his loving wife Geanette and his family who continue to support Jogen through the trials and tribulations that accompany a growing team with aspirations that continue like day one on the job.
